For how long have you been with BIRN?
I was employed in November 2011.

How did you get a job at BIRN, and what is your story?
I held a position as sales back-up in the kitchen industry but felt a need for new challenges. When I saw that BIRN was looking for a new order manager, I found the position very attractive. I came here for a job interview and was subsequently offered the job as order manager.

Which job functions have you had at BIRN, and which are your present job functions?
I have my own customer portfolio and am responsible for the day-to-day contact to them. I handle orders and logistics from stock to delivery, thereby ensuring that our customers get their goods in time. In addition, I am also in charge of our packaging system and various other small tasks.

What do you think makes BIRN a good place to work?
The atmosphere is very relaxing and feels positive. I like that a lot. Besides, we have a lot of fringe benefits, for example a very fine health scheme and a great canteen arrangement. We also work by the motto “freedom with responsibility”, a thing that I find very motivating.
